This event, in celebration of International Women’s Day, amplifies diverse voices and creative perspectives, highlighting the challenges, triumphs, and future innovations driven by women across the fields of science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics. By connecting participants from all stages of their journey — from aspiring students to industry leaders — we’ll foster a community united by action and dedicated to shaping a more equitable, innovative future.

Melanie Kalmar, CIO & CDO of Dow
Melanie Kalmar is corporate vice president, chief information officer and chief digital officer for Dow. She drives the global strategy for information technology and digital capabilities to advance Dow’s growth and business strategies. She is also a member of Dow’s Executive Leadership Team that sets the strategic direction, defines priorities and is accountable for delivering enterprise-level results.
 
Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She completed the Executive Education Program at Babson College and the Thunderbird International Leadership Program in Phoenix, Arizona. Melanie is a Director for Dorinco Reinsurance Company, Advisory Board member of the Michigan Council for Women in Technology Foundation, and a member of the Dean’s Council for Central Michigan University’s School of Business. She also holds several leadership roles within Dow focused on driving the Company’s Diversity & Inclusion strategy and priorities, including membership in the President’s Inclusion Council and executive sponsor of PRIME, the employee resource group focused on engaging the 50+ population.

Without Boundaries Film Festival

This event will kickoff Diversified’s inaugural Without Boundaries Film Festival, in partnership with AVIXA and SVGW, to celebrate and support the creativity, innovation, and incredible impact of women in AV, media and technology fields.

We’re calling on women working in or studying AV, media and technology ages 16+ to share their stories, insights, triumphs, and visions by submitting a video that shares an inspiring story, idea or innovation to lift up others and support our growth as a community. Whether you’re a seasoned professional, a student, or anywhere in between, this is your chance to shine and inspire others. Let’s amplify our voices, celebrate achievements, and pave the way for future generations!

Diversified’s inaugural Without Boundaries film festival, in partnership with AVIXA and SVWG, is a celebration of creativity, innovation, and the incredible impact of women in STEAM fields.

We’re calling on women in STEAM ages 16+ to share their stories, insights, triumphs, and visions by submitting a video that shares an inspiring story, hard work and innovation or inspirational messages to lift up others and support our growth as a community. Winners will be awarded scholarships, donations to their school, or charitable donations in addition to the visibility and mentorship among successful women in attendance. Whether you’re a seasoned professional, a student, or anywhere in between, this is your chance to shine and inspire others. Let’s amplify our voices, celebrate achievements, and pave the way for future generations of women in STEAM together!
